Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro Price

The Main Point

Samsung has been making some great true wireless earbuds lately. This includes the Galaxy Buds Plus, and the Galaxy Buds Live. But, now they are going to come out with a new pair, the Galaxy Buds Pro, that should be better than both. And, we now know the price of these earbuds, as well as a few other features. They are cheaper than the AirPods Pro, though!

Samsung makes some great true wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Buds Plus are amazing, and so are the Galaxy Buds Live. But, both of these earbuds are more geared towards competing with the normal Apple AirPods. That is all about to change, though, because Samsung is going to be coming out with the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, which should compete with the AirPods Pro. It is great to see Samsung entering a new price range in the true wireless earbuds market, and judging by the leaks, they should do pretty well in it.

What Features Do we know about?

We actually know quite a bit of the specs of these things. All of these leaks come from Evan Blass, which is a known leaker and blogger.  We don’t know if all of this information will be correct, but the Galaxy Buds Pro should be releasing in just a few days, so we shouldn’t have to wait too long.

Colors

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro are supposed to come in 3 different colors. These colors are Violet, Black and Silver, which aren’t too bad of colors. It is kind of weird that they might not have white, and instead have violet. There might still be other colors we don’t know about, though.

Battery Life

According to the leaks, the Galaxy Buds Pro should have a pretty good amount of battery life, but not as good as the Galaxy Buds Plus. On a full charge, each earbud should have 5 hours of battery life. We don’t yet know how much battery life that the case will have, but I assume that it will be around 20 hours.

Active Noise Cancellation

These earbuds are also going to have active noise cancellation (anc), which is to be expected from a pair of true wireless earbuds at this price. This active noise cancellation will also include an ambient mode, allowing you to hear your surroundings if you choose to.

Sound Quality

These earbuds should also have quite good sound quality. According to the leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro should have a dual speaker, which is a combination of a 6.5mm tweeter, and a 11mm woofer. This should provide some pretty good audio, and if it is as good as the Galaxy Buds Plus, it will be great.

Waterproofing

The leaks also say that these earbuds should be waterproof. They are supposed to have IPX7 waterproofing, which should allow them to stay underwater in shallow water, for up to 30 minutes. That means that you shouldn’t have any problems if you get some sweat on them, and maybe even some rain.

Price

Now, onto the thing that everybody has been waiting for: the price of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. For true wireless earbuds competing in the higher end segment of the market, these things have an amazing price. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro come in at CA$264, which is about $207 in the US. That is very close to the rumors that these earbuds would be priced at $200. For a pair of high end true wireless earbuds, that really isn’t too high. It is lower than many of the top true wireless earbuds, and also the AirPods Pro. That should, as long as the Galaxy Buds Pro are actually good, make these a great competitor in the true wireless earbuds market. These earbuds will likely release on the 14th of January, along with the Galaxy S21, so stay tuned for that.
