The Main Point

Windows 10 updates may add new features and fix bugs, but it seems like they usually cause more problems than they fix. That is no different when it comes to these two new updates, which are causing blue screens of death and crashes. Thankfully, all of the problems caused by these updates should be fixed very soon.

Windows 10 updates are very important. They fix bugs and add new, useful features. But, lately, Windows 10 updates seem to be bringing more problems than fixes. There has been no change to that in the latest Windows 10 update, as it is already causing issues for certain users. Microsoft really needs to start doing a better job with these updates, because at this point, I am sometimes scared to update. I don’t want my computer to break.

What are these updates doing?

There are actually two updates that are causing problems. These updates are called KB4598301 and KB4598299, and they are only causing issues for specific versions of Windows 10. These are 20041909 and 20H2. If you are on different version of Windows 10, you don’t need to worry about these problems. But, what are the problems that these updates are causing? Well, they aren’t extremely bad. These issues are inconvenient, but they aren’t going to kill your computer. These issues are blue screens of death, and app crashes. Those aren’t huge problems. Sometimes there are updates that can cause boot looping, and these issues definitely aren’t as bad as that. I wouldn’t be too worried about the problems that these updates cause. They may be a slight inconvenience, but it’s not going to kill your computer.

When will these problems be fixed?

Thankfully, there should be a fix for these issues very soon. Microsoft has announced that they are working on a fix and it should be released soon. They have already released the fix internally, and that means that it should be releasing to the public very soon. We don’t know an exact date that the fix will be released, but it has to be soon. Until then, I wouldn’t be too worried. App crashes and blue screens of death are annoying, but they aren’t a huge problem. I really hope Microsoft can get better at making updates that aren’t filled with issues. It is really annoying having to deal with a new issue every time a new Windows 10 update comes out.
